Urgent plumbing services

Note: We are not a 24-hour emergency service — we're a small crew, and we'd rather tell you that plainly than have you waiting on a call that isn't coming.

What we do instead is prioritize. If water is actively leaking, or you have no water at the house, mark your request Urgent and we'll move you up the schedule. In most cases that means same day or next business day, depending on where you are and what's already booked.

• Water leaking? Shut the supply off at the valve — the main shutoff, or the small valve behind the fixture. That stops the damage clock while you wait.

• Smell gas? Don't call us first. Leave the building, then call your gas utility or 911. New York: Con Edison or NYSEG. South Carolina: Dominion Energy.

• No hot water? It can usually wait until morning. Note the age of the heater if you know it — it changes what we bring.
